This College belongs to Shri Vile Parle Kelvani Mandal.The Mandal is having long and varied experience in conducting Arts,Science and Commerce Colleges, a Polytechnic, an institution of Management Studies etc. and hence the Mandal was well equipped to provide an efficient executive and administrative back-up for establishing and conducting an engineering college.It was also felt that although a large number of Engineering Colleges are established in the Maharashtra State,there was an unfulfilled demand in the Metropolitian City of Mumbai particularly from the middle class population of our society, which is not able to send their wards to distant places in mofussi areas for joining Engineering Colleges.

The Mandal established a college of Engineering from the academic year 1994-95 with prior approval of the university of Mumbai, Goverment of Maharashtra, Directorate of Technical Education and the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The College is Affiliated to the University of Mumbai and at present conducts the following courses of study for the B.E degree:-

  1. Chemical Engineering:- 60 Seats
  2. Electronics Engineering:- 60 Seats
  3. Production Engineering:- 30 Seats
  4. Biomedical Engineering:- 30 Seats
  5. Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering:- 30 Seats
  6. Information Engineering:- 30 Seats

In the Short span of five years, the College has developed good infrastructural facilities.Class-rooms, Laboratories, Workshop, Computer Center,Library ,Office ,Ladies's Common Room, Canteen, Gymkhana and other student amenities are housed / planned in a newly constructed building of an area of approx. 10,400 sq. m. Further expansion of the building and facilities is in progress. During the last five years, the College has attracted students with high percentage of marks in all the branches of study.
